An asynchronous Perl implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), including useful ready-made servers and an API for writing your own.
AnyEvent::MCP provides MCP clients and servers over HTTP and stdio, and a simple framework for implementing MCP tools in Perl. The multibroker combines local and remote MCP servers behind a single connection, including servers written in other languages. Bundled servers provide filesystem access (with optional sandboxing), live Vim buffer editing, access to explicitly approved browser tabs and interactive questions to the human user. Permission checking and sandbox grants help control operations with side effects. Start with the introduction for installation and setup, or the Simple server tutorial if you want to implement your own MCP server in Perl.
